FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
We will be straight with you. The main issue we have had is a small number turning up bent from the freight run, because it is a long, slim stainless piece and couriers can be rough with it. If yours arrives bent or marked, we do not muck you around, we send a replacement or refund you, just email a photo to hello@70seriesstore.com. The steel itself is 304 grade stainless that resists rust and corrosion far better than the factory plastic sill it replaces.
This is made for the rear barn door sill on the 76 Series wagon and the 78 Series Troop Carrier, including V8 (VDJ) and 2024 facelift (GDJ) models. It replaces the factory plastic trim on that rear barn door only. It is not for the 79 Series ute, which does not have barn doors, so please check your model before ordering.
No, and this is the mix-up we see most often. This piece is only for the rear barn door. If you are after the trim for your front cab door sills, that is a separate product, so message us and we will send you the right link. That way you do not end up with a piece that is the wrong length for where you wanted it.
Yes. It comes with the screws and tools you need and replaces the plastic sill in a straightforward DIY job, no special gear required. Take your time lining it up dead straight and it gives the back of your truck a much tougher, cleaner finish.
It comes in silver stainless or a black finish, so you can match it to your build. Both options are the same 304 stainless steel underneath.
